How tuition works
The school's current figures are on our enrollment page and at your placement visit, so you always see the right ones.
What sets tuition
Four things set tuition: the length of the lesson, whether it is private or shared, the teacher and the level, and whether you join a Saturday ensemble. Ensembles are billed apart from private lessons.

Registration
A yearly registration sets up the student's file, the placement visit and a weekly time with a teacher. It is due when you choose a teacher, and the school's figure is on the enrollment page.
Billing
Tuition is billed monthly or by term, with autopay on our enrollment page. We tell you which plan applies at the placement visit.
Siblings
A second student in the same family is handled differently. Ask us at the placement visit and we will explain how.
Withdrawing
We ask for a month's notice, by email or text, so the weekly time can be offered to the next family on the waitlist. A term in progress finishes unless we agree otherwise.
Missed classes and make-ups
Tell your teacher a day ahead and a lesson can often move. A lesson the teacher misses is made up within the month. Saturday ensembles rehearse together and are not made up.
Uniforms, costumes and other costs
Costs outside tuition are instrument rental, music books, rosin and strings, and plain dark clothes for concerts. We rent cellos and violas in the sizes students need. Ask your teacher before you buy or rent.
